|
This February, the 2020 Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show, presented by West Marine, returns to Miami Marine Stadium Park and Basin February 13-17 with a variety of new and improved transportation options for show goers. The Show invests more than $1.7 million dollars in a comprehensive transportation plan to alleviate traffic congestion and transport guests efficiently to and from the Show. With Miami being one of the most traffic-dense cities in the country, the Show aims to inspire more people to take advantage of the free water taxi and shuttle bus options from Downtown Miami. With nearly 100,000 attendees, approximately 45 percent embraced the free water taxi and shuttle buses in 2019. In 2020 the Show aims to increase this by 5-10 percent to not only alleviate traffic congestion during the Show, but also inspire more guests to trial public transportation modes at no cost that can be embraced more throughout the year.

“For the past five years, the Miami International Boat Show has invested heavily into the creation of an all-encompassing transportation plan to help alleviate traffic, while assisting our attendees get to and from the Show easily,” said Larry Berryman, Director, Miami International Boat Show. “Our transportation options are free, convenient and offer guests a variety of options that drop them off right inside the Show from downtown Miami.”
