Innovation Awards

Enter your Innovative Product in the Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show and Sail Innovation Awards — Deadline January 18, 2012/lib/img/gallery/img1011515144.png

Up to sixteen new consumer marine products will be honored at the Miami shows, recognizing the most innovative products in the following categories:

Please Note: All boats entered in the Innovation Awards must be NMMA Certified.

  • Applications and Mobile Software
  • Runabouts and Fishing Craft to 24’
  • Cruisers (25' to 60' including fishing craft)
  • Cruisers (61' and up)
  • PWC and Jet Boats
  • Pontoon and Deck Boats
  • Sailboats (mono, multi-hull)
  • Docking and Fendering Equipment (owner installed docks, Shore power, boatwhips, boatlifts, davits, cranes, fenders or fendering systems, etc.
  • Consumer Electronics and Software 
  • Consumer Personal Gear and Soft Goods 
  • Consumer Installed Non-Electronic Hardware (equipment must be non-electronic and may be deck equipment such as anchors, BBQs, blocks, winches/winch handles or interior hardware such as screens, vents, etc.)
  • Water Sports and Equipment (fun, non-safety related products and fishing products)
  • Outboard Engines
  • Consumer Safety Equipment 
  • Trailer, Parts and Trailer Accessories
  • Inflatables, Small Boats (up to 15') and Tenders

In addition: An Environmental  Award may be given for any product (entered in any category) that provides an environemental benefit in the marine market. This is NOT a category that can be entered, and products will be selected from all products entered, regardless of category. This award may not be given depending on products available.

To submit a product for the Miami Innovation Awards, please complete the online entry form.  At the time of entry, you will be required to select a product category, submit a description, photo, logo and $200 credit card payment. After submitting the online form, please MAIL nine (9) packets for the judges to review prior to the Show. You may include anything you want the judges to see in the packets. Send these packets to: NMMA, Melissa Gurniewicz, 231 S. LaSalle St. Suite 2050, Chicago, IL 60604 by January 18th.
